Where do you live?

Youtopia is San Diego’s regional Burning Man event, and using the 2015 ticketing data we can get a good idea of where people traveled from.

They traveled from 25 different states, and roughly 2% reside in a foreign country.

But at heart it really is a San Diego event, with 51% from San Diego County, and a little over a third from within the San Diego City limits.  One of my favorite things about Youtopia is that when you make new friends at the event, it is likely that they live near you and you can be friends at home too!

Turns out that this is even more likely in some neighborhoods.  While half of Youtopians are from San Diego County, fully one in twenty attendees are from just one zip code – 92104.
